Responsible mission
“Our mission as Frasson S.p.a., is to create soles and innovative quality components that help consumers to live a better and a healthier and happier life.
To do so, we adopt environmentally sustainable manufacturing solutions, focused on continuous improvement of the soles we produce, but mostly focused on respecting the communities in which we live and the environment around us.“
Productive solutions
In Frasson we are convinced that a sustainable business creates value for the company, both in the short and in the long term. This is why we are constantly improving processes and products following “Total Quality” systems of the company and market, without forgetting the welfare and safety of people and the planet.
Since 2006, we have totally replaced the use of solvents in the company for siliconising our moulds, and we introduced water-based products for low environmental impact.
We perform annually fixed and mobile environmental sampling campaigns to monitor the measure of pollutants in the production departments, with the aim of ensuring the lowest exposures and keeping a healthier work environment.
The company promotes the testing of new raw materials that can be recycled or used in other secondary processes, and with low impact on the environment.
REACH
As for the use of chemical substances subject to restriction, the making of their products such as polyurethane wedges, rubber soles and sheets, occurs in accordance with the Regulations of the Parliament and the Council of Europe 1907/2006 (REACH), in force in the EU countries and in Italy.
Frasson s.p.a. is actively engaged in constantly monitoring and dialoguing with its suppliers in the field.
We support with annual donation plastic ocean to create a global movement that encourages all to #rethinkplastic. The problem of plastic pollution is growing exponentially every year; we are producing more than 300 million tons of plastic, half of this is designed for single use, and each year around 8 million tons of it ends up in our oceans.
We can solve this problem and we can do it by educating and engaging everyone in a conversation to rethink plastic. Plastic Oceans is working to change the way we deal with plastic waste by challenging society’s perception that this indestructible substance can be treated as ‘disposable’.
#500KMs
In 2015, Frasson s.p.a. launched the project #500KMs, aimed at informing its customers about climate change and its main cause: the emissions of CO2 in the atmosphere.
The Kyoto Framework Convention highlighted that transportation is the main source of atmospheric gas emissions today, and therefore, it focused on the reduction of freight mobility, which caused a global debate.
Starting from these observations, thanks to its variety and range of products and thanks to optimal locations of its units’ which operate between Italy, Croatia and Romania, Frasson s.p.a. succeeds with the #500kms project in ensuring the production of a full multicomponent sole (EVA-PU-RUBBER-TPU) which has travelled no more than 500 kilometers before being delivered to the customer.
The current average distance of our customers is 1200 km.
Example: rubber sole, wedge Pu with inserts in TPU
Civitanova Marche > Albizzate > Loria > Monaco
1248 Km
340 kg CO2
*Tir model of the latest generation generates emissions of 250-260 g / km CO2
Health & Safety in the Workplace
Besides having the goal of always satisfying customer needs, Frasson s.p.a. is committed to ensure health and safety in the workplace.
All productive activities have been organised and regulated in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Law on Health and Safety in the Workplace). The workplaces are designed in accordance with municipal regulations and they comply with the directives of the competent local health authority.
Emissions of production systems into the atmosphere have been duly authorised as provided by Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Consolidated Environment Act).
From 1st December 2015, the company was awarded the fire prevention certificate (CPI) received from the organ of the Fire Department, in accordance with presidential decree No. 151 of 01.08.2011.
2020: Supply Chain Control
In 2016, Frasson s.p.a. launched a project of reclassification and control of its supply chain in order to verify and ensure environmental protection as well as the health and safety of the workers.
The ultimate goal is to certify the banning of chemical substances and harmful practices in its supply chain by 2020.
