From the latest developments in polymer science comes the revolution of Frasson’s proposal. Materials with completely new characteristics in terms of mechanical performance, energy return and lightness, with a significant improvement also on environmental impact.
SCF Supercritical Foam. An innovative foam material created using the supercritical fluid foaming process, providing a perfect blend of performance, comfort and sustainability. In this advanced technique, a gas is exposed to high pressure and temperature conditions, exceeding its critical point. Subsequently, the gas exhibits unique properties, behaving simultaneously as both a liquid and a gas. The supercritical fluid is then combined with a polymeric material, typically EVA or TPU, to create an expanded structure.
Frasson can offer customers this innovative made-in-Italy solution, with applications ranging from running shoes to hiking and trekking, to casual and lifestyle footwear.
LiteCell. LiteCell is a fourth-generation super-lightweight polyurethane, with densities of up to 0.25 g/cm3, but at the same time with an intrinsic structure that provides excellent rebound (>50%) and resilience. It does not suffer hydrolysis and does not collapse over time. An excellent compromise between lightness and performance.
D3O. Thanks to the partnership started in 2024, we are able to propose to the world of technical footwear the use in moulds of one of the best performing materials in terms of shock absorbing and energy dissipation during impact. D3O is a benchmark for the Sport, Safety and Professional worlds thanks to its shock-absorbing capabilities, guaranteeing greater comfort and less stress on the joints, all without sacrificing lightness.
