Sustainability

We favor eco-friendly productive solutions that lead to a continuous improvement of the final product, the working environment and surrounding territory, without sacrificing the utmost respect of our people and planet.

People

Equity and Inclusion refer to the set of strategies, policies and missions adopted by Frasson Group  create and encourage an inclusive workplace that attracts a diverse pool of talent from various cultural backgrounds.

Our mission is to guarantee health and safety in the workplace. All our production activities are organized and regulated in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 (on health and safety in the workplace).

Our workplaces have been conceived in compliance with municipal regulations, and in accordance with instructions from local health units. Our production plants’ atmospheric emissions comply with Legislative Decree 152/2006 (environment law).

We conduct annual fixed and mobile environmental sampling campaigns to monitor pollutant values in our production departments, aiming for the lowest exposure and making our working environments healthier.

In 2020, we adopted an ethical and moral code explicitly introducing and defining the company’s ethical and social responsibilities to its stakeholders.

Planet

We promote experimentation with new- environmentally- friendly raw materials that can be recycled and with raw materials that are obtained from renewable plant sources

Our R&D department is constantly committed to improving production processes, in order to minimize the solvent emissions into the atmosphere.

An example? The EcoBond Sole, a technology which avoids the production of large amount of powder, greatly reduces the use of glue and reduces solvent emissions into the atmosphere.

As concerns the use of restricted chemicals, our products, such as polyurethane wedges, rubber outsole and soles, are manufactured in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH), in force in European Union Member States.

In Italy, we are actively engaged in ongoing verification, and in communication and discussions with our raw material suppliers.

We have invested in renewable energy sources to produce our own electricity, through the installation of a 120 kWh photovoltaic system, as well as in procuring raw materials from renewable sources.

Special Projects

Through donations, Rubbermac.it Srl offers annual support for the global “Stop Talking Start Planting” campaign promoted by the Plant for the Planet foundation, which aims to halt global climate change by planting one trillion trees worldwide.

The effects of climate change are being felt primarily in countries in the South of the planet and it is in these countries (Mexico, Honduras, Brazil, Ecuador, Namibia) that the foundation works most intensely by creating orchards to develop agriculture and counter global CO2 emissions and the greenhouse effect.

Every year we donate to “Plastic Ocean”, a global movement that invites everyone to think about plastics issue.

The problem of plastic pollution is growing exponentially each year, as we produce more than 300 million tonnes of plastic, half of which is disposable and around 8 million tonnes of which ends up in our oceans each year. We can solve this problem by educating and inviting everyone to debate the use of plastic.

In 2015, we launched the #500KMs project to raise awareness of climate change due to the greenhouse effect caused by CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.

The Kyoto Framework Agreement has shown that transportation is currently the main source of gas emissions into the atmosphere, and the global debate has focused primarily on reducing the mobility of freight transport.

Starting from these observations, with our #500KMs project, our variety and range of products and the optimal location of our operating units in Italy and Croatia, allow us to guarantee the production of a complete, multi-component sole (EVA-PU- GOMMA-TPU) that has travelled no more than 500 km before being sent to the customer.
