Rubbermac’s story began in one of North-East Italy’s most important footwear areas, where the company first produced rubber granulates for local businesses connected to the port of Trieste.
In the 1980s, Rubbermac internalized its compounding process and began developing its own rubber compounds. This marked a decisive step: from material supplier to technical manufacturer, focused on compression-vulcanized rubber soles for demanding footwear applications.
This process gives Rubbermac full flexibility in compound development, allowing each sole to respond to specific physical and mechanical requirements with consistency, durability and control.

In 2013, Rubbermac became part of Frasson Group, bringing specialized expertise in rubber soles and dual-density polyurethane wedges for the safety and trekking markets.
By integrating rubber production within the Group, we expanded our ability to customize every part of the sole and strengthened our molding capabilities, including dual-density polyurethane. A wider material base and greater control over the final product, opening up more freedom in construction.
Rubbermac is a key center for research and development within Frasson Group. Its advanced laboratory works on rubber-polyurethane compounds, material control and the study of new technologies.
This is where daily production is tested, new concepts are validated and material performance becomes measurable before it reaches the market.
