The history of Rubbermac is firmly anchored to the Sixties and the town of Gonars – in the province of Udine – where a small firm begins producing rubber granulates to then sell them to the local businesses linked to the harbor pole of Trieste
At the time, this area was considered one of the most important footwear poles in the North-East. Rubbermac progressively became a chemical industry and, in the Eighties, started producing its first rubber compounds through the internalization of the compounding process.
Then Rubbermac business has been focused on vulcanization of compressed rubber soles destined to the technical-footwear sector. This procedure allowed to achieve maximum flexibility in the compounding processes and to produce soles of exceptional quality, fulfilling any physical-mechanical request made by Clients.
In 2013 Rubbermac was acquired by Frasson SpA, introducing its technical know-how in the group, which is centered around the production of rubber soles and polyurethane two-density wedges for the safety and trekking markets.
The internal production of rubber soles allows Frasson Group to improve the customization opportunities of all the components of its product, and to amplify its printing range through the production of dual density polyurethane.
Rubbermac represents the heart of the research and development apparatus of Frasson Group, and the firm contains an advanced workshop that employs materials chemists dedicated to monitoring the rubber-polyurethane compounding processes and to the study of new technologies and compounds.
This is also where the firm carries out all its quality tests. These allow to monitor and examine the daily productions and new ideas/ concepts of the entire company.
