E-compound

The E-Compound range brings together all the polyurethane and rubber compounds developed with an eco-sustainable perspective.

It is a thermoplastic adhesive film that is applied to the sole components directly during moulding. The adhesive layer is protected by a Pe film (which is removed before reactivation) to protect the surface from contamination during molding and subsequent processing.
The advance is really important for the Client who receives and already glued soles, whose surface only needs to be reactivated at about 70°-80°C before pressing-assembling to the upper.
This technology eliminates the operation of brushing, primer application and/or cleaning and/or cleaning and bonding.

Recycled PU

We grind the polyurethane deriving from pre-gluing and/or machine washing and reuse it in PU wedges coated with film or TPU shells, thereby reducing production of this waste by 5-10%, maintaining performance and creating a young and dynamic product.

Protected by our POD Skin technology.

It is well known that recycled polyurethane (mixed with new foaming) inevitably suffers performance loss, in particular in its mechanical and physical characteristics and its resistance to hydrolysis.

In the POD Skin system, recycled polyurethane acts only as a filler to provide comfort, lightness and thermal insulation. The PU filler is coated with special films and TPU shells to guarantee resistance and protection to the midsole.

Devulcanized rubber

We are able to devulcanize the rubber deriving from our sole trimming waste and scraps in a very selective way, with a low environmental impact (process at ambient temperature and pressure).

Recycled rubber (GRS certified)

Our compounds can contain from a minimum of 20% recycled rubber up to 40%, thus being able to also be GRS certified. In April 2021 Rubbermac was the first in Europe to obtain GRS certification on a high-performance rubber tread.
